Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, contribute to creating delicious meals, and ensure high standards of food safety and presentation. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent service to our guests or customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Batch Cooking required
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining efficiency during busy periods
Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes to enhance our offerings
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
Organise and manage ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage
Serve food to customers or assist serving staff as required
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all aspects of food preparation and service
Washing up where required
Running meals to customers
Cleaning tables when required

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent attention to detail when preparing meals and maintaining cleanliness
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
A genuine passion for culinary arts and creating enjoyable dining experiences

Pay: £12.21-£13.21 per hour
