Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Home Care Workers / Carers to join our team in Nuneaton, Hinckley and surrounding areas. This role involves providing high-quality, personalised care to individuals within their own homes, supporting their independence and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caring, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients with diverse needs, including elderly individuals and those living with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. Previous experience in assisted living, nursing, or home care is highly desirable. This position offers meaningful work in a supportive environment where your skills can make a real difference.

Duties

Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Administer medication accurately and safely in accordance with care plans
Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or hospice needs
Support clients with behavioural management strategies to promote comfort and safety
Drive between client locations as required, ensuring timely and reliable service
Assist with mobility
Maintain detailed records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly
Engage in ongoing training including first aid, medication administration, and other relevant skills
Senior Care Assistants will also support care planning, mentoring staff, medication administration, and maintaining high standards of care delivery.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care services
Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care
Strong caregiving skills with an empathetic approach towards clients’ individual needs
Ability to assist with mobility needs/transfers.
Competence in medication administration and first aid procedures
Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple clients efficiently
Driving licence required for travel between client homes
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to manage behaviour sensitively and professionally in challenging situations
