Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have relevant culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen personnel, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career development within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and oversee kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Lead food production activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with hygiene standards
Monitor food quality throughout preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards
Support training programmes for junior team members to enhance their skills in food safety, preparation, and service
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Experience

Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
Background in food production, cooking, and food presentation
Demonstrable expertise in food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is advantageous

This role requires a dedicated professional with excellent organisational skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for outstanding cuisine while fostering a positive work environment.

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
