Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our Company.

The role involves trips with salary of £225 per day approx once every 7 to 8 working days. These trips can be over 2 days to Ireland or one day to North West England

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Would be ideal for a freelance driver who is able to work as and when we need him.

The number of trips are expected to increase after the holidays.

Duties

Operate Articulated lorry for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with Articulated lorries.
Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) is essential.
Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
