Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast/Lunch Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to contribute to a welcoming dining environment. The ideal applicant will have relevant kitchen experience, a strong understanding of food safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner to meet service schedules
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection when required
Monitor stock levels and communicate with suppliers for replenishment needs
Serve food to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work during breakfast and lunch hours, including weekends if required
A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering quality meals to customers

Pay: £12.21-£16.50 per hour
