Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills across various trades, ensuring the successful completion of diverse building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in construction to contribute to high-quality craftsmanship and project delivery. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing work
Perform roofing repairs and installations with attention to safety and quality standards
Undertake construction painting, ensuring surfaces are prepared and finished to specification
Install and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings
Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
Conduct welding operations for structural or decorative purposes using appropriate techniques
Assist with electrical installations and repairs where qualified, adhering to safety regulations
Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for various tasks across the site
Engage in fabrication work as required, creating customised components or structures
Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining safety protocols

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work or related trades
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to undertake fabrication tasks with precision and attention to detail
Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to adapt to different projects and work environments
Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
