Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Site Fitter to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of works across the project.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise expertise within a dynamic construction environment.

Candidates will need a strong knowledge and experience installing Architectural Metalwork (Panelling, steel works, balustrades, etc) use of both power and hand tools are required. .

Duties

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fit components on-site
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as sheet metal and structural components
Install structural elements with precision, ensuring alignment and secure fastening
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use
Assist in troubleshooting installation issues and making necessary adjustments during fitting processes

Experience

Proven experience
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools,
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
Prior experience working on-site in a similar role is essential
Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

This position is offered on a self-employed basis for an initial period of approximately three months, with the possibility of extensions up to 6 months.

Due to the site location driving to site is recommened, however public transport options from Basingstoke trainstation is avaiable via bus. .

Job Type: Fixed term contract
