Summary

Position: Teaching Assistant 2B
Salary: £25,989 to £28,142 (SCP 6-11)
Details: 30 hours per week, Term time only
Duration: Permanent

The Governing Board at St John the Baptist RC Primary School, Padiham, wish to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant who:

Will be a friendly team player
Has the ability to build nurturing and positive relationships with our children
Can enable our children to be the best they can be
Has the ability to communicate well with both staff and parents
Has experience of working with children
Can support teaching and learning within classrooms
Is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children
Will fully support the Catholic ethos of the school and the schools mission statement.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in
English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid Certificate

Essential Experience

Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment Experience of Administrative work

Desirable Experience

Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities<
Time management skills
