Full job description

Overview

At Lancashire Smiles, we are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House Dental Receptionist to join our welcoming, family-friendly practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience and ensuring the smooth running of the front desk.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and provide a welcoming first impression
Manage the front desk, including answering calls and scheduling appointments
Assist patients with registration and update personal information accurately
Maintain patient records
Handle administrative duties such as scanning and managing correspondence
Keep the reception and waiting area tidy, organised and inviting
Support the dental team with general office tasks
Respond to patient enquiries professionally and courteously

Requirements

Previous reception, customer service or administrative experience (dental/healthcare experience beneficial but not essential)
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Dental Software (beneficial, but not essential) and Customer Relationship Management (beneficial, but not essential)
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Comfortable being involved in practice marketing, including team photos, social media content and promotional campaigns.
