Job Title: Registered Manager
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: £5,000 annual quality and commercial bonus + £55,000 to £60,000 base
Working Hours: Full Time
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: YPs – CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation)
Qualifications Required: Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare preferred or must be enrolled within 6 months of starting.
Experience in Years Required: At least 2 years’ experience in residential care of children and 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
Employment Type: Permanent

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
Recruit, develop and retain a strong and consistent staff team.
Establish and maintain high-quality care standards in line with The Quality Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring child protection and safeguarding responsibilities are fully met.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
Ensure a safe, nurturing and empowering environment for all young people in your care.

Essential Requirements:
✅ Minimum 2 years’ residential care experience and 1 year supervisory within last 5 years
✅ Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care
✅ Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards within 6 months
✅ Strong understanding of childcare legislation and Ofsted frameworks
✅ Excellent communication, planning and leadership skills
✅ Full UK Driving Licence
