Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for food, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. The Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining food safety standards while inspiring creativity and teamwork within the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet quality specifications
Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and sanitation procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a cohesive team environment
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food production and culinary arts
Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and allergen management
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Proficiency in food preparation techniques across various cuisines
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
A passion for hospitality, serving guests, and delivering exceptional dining experiences
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential depending on experience
