Monday – Friday 06:00am- 15:30pm and 06:00- 09:30 alternate Saturdays

At Grundon, we are on the lookout for two dynamic, passionate, and driven individuals to join our Transport team based in Ewelme.

Reporting into the Depot Operations Manager you will play a key role in driving our mission forward developing your skills and learning to drive and operate a range 3.5t waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently collecting predominantly hazardous clinical waste, in line with company standards.

What will you do

Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting and escalating defects in line with legal requirements.
Comply with WTD, SOPs, and Risk Assessments.
Report incidents, near misses, contaminated bins, and non-conforming waste promptly with accurate paperwork.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Wear and maintain PPE/uniform to required Health & Safety standards.
Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Ensure punctuality, accurate record-keeping, and completion of duty hours whilst remaining flexible with working hours and support overtime when required.
Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety and employment.
Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder

About You

Holds a valid category B licence.
Willingness to learn with the ability to apply new skills effectively.
Receptive to instruction and constructive feedback.
Positive, proactive attitude with strong interpersonal and professional skills.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service in all aspects of work.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
Understanding of workplace values and behaviours, with a focus on Health & Safety compliance.
Basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret maps and directions accurately
ADR certification (desirable; training will be provided for the right candidate).
Willing to obtain airside pass for various airports
Willing to be multiskilled and drive various size/modes of vehicle
