Marketing & Content Assistant

Help Tell the Story of a Business That's Growing Fast

MMS Facilities Management is growing, and we want someone creative, ambitious and full of ideas to help us tell people about it.

We're looking for a Marketing & Content Assistant to take ownership of our day-to-day content and marketing activity.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your week waiting for someone to tell you what to post on LinkedIn.

We want someone who can look at what's happening across the business, spot the stories worth telling and turn them into engaging content.

New clients. New projects. Engineers out on site. Team successes. Behind the scenes. Case studies. Videos. Photos. Social content. Campaigns.

There's constantly something happening at MMS, and we want someone who can bring that to life.

If you're creative, organised, confident with content and excited by the idea of putting your own stamp on the marketing of a fast-growing business, we'd love to meet you.

The Opportunity

You'll work closely with our Managing Director, Account Managers and wider team to lead the everyday marketing and content activity across MMS.

We're not looking for a huge marketing department.

We're looking for one great person who can take ownership.

You'll have plenty of freedom to bring ideas to the table, experiment with different types of content and help develop the personality of the MMS brand as we continue to grow.

The role is ideally part time, and we're flexible for the right person.

More importantly, this is a role that has the potential to grow alongside the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Your role will cover a broad mix of marketing and content, including:

Taking ownership of our social media presence and content calendar.
Creating engaging content across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
Getting involved with short-form video, photography and behind-the-scenes content.
Visiting projects and sites where appropriate to capture great content.
Turning completed works into engaging case studies and project stories.
Working with our Account Managers to identify client successes and opportunities worth talking about.
Creating graphics, branded materials and social content using tools such as Canva.
Helping manage and develop our website content.
Supporting email marketing and client communications.
Helping promote new services, regions and areas of the business.
Planning marketing campaigns and ensuring they actually happen.
Supporting recruitment marketing and showcasing what it's like to work at MMS.
Monitoring content and campaign performance to understand what's working.
Helping maintain consistency across the MMS brand.
Bringing new ideas to the table and challenging us when you think we could be doing something better.

You'll have support from the wider team, but we want someone who is comfortable picking something up and running with it.

You'll be creative but organised.

You'll understand that good marketing isn't just making things look nice. It's about telling stories, building relationships, generating opportunities and making people remember the brand.

You'll be someone who:

Is creative and naturally comes up with ideas.
Is confident creating written and visual content.
Understands social media and what makes people stop scrolling.
Is organised enough to manage a content calendar and multiple projects.
Can work independently and take ownership.
Isn't afraid to grab a phone and create content.
Has excellent written English and attention to detail.
Enjoys working with different personalities across a business.
Is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Wants to learn, develop and grow.
Isn't afraid to suggest something completely new.

Most importantly, we want someone who is enthusiastic about the opportunity.

Experience

Previous experience in marketing, content creation or social media would be beneficial.

Experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar content creation software would also be useful.

However, we're open-minded about background.

You might already be working in marketing and looking for a flexible part-time opportunity.

You might be a recent marketing graduate looking for somewhere you can actually get hands-on experience.

You might even have built your skills creating content independently and want an opportunity to turn that into a career.

Facilities Management experience is absolutely not essential.

We'll teach you about FM.

We're much more interested in finding someone who understands content, has good instincts and genuinely wants to make an impact.
