Company Overview

Christopher Lee Catering is a family-run business with 18 years of expertise in delivering nutritious, globally-inspired cuisine for the TV and film location catering.
Summary

We are seeking a Freelance Kitchen Porter to join our catering team on location and in Studio at Newport and Cardiff. This role is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring a clean, efficient environment that supports the fast pace of the Film Industry. All work is based in our large catering trucks and support vehicles.

The start time is usually 5am and finish by 3pm unless there is a location move. Five days a week. Usually not weekends, but sometimes!

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation setting up the buffet food areas
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Help with dishwashing and waste disposal procedures.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently.
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues.
Assist in setting up for service and clearing down after shifts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Good communication skills and team spirit.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Enthusiasm for food and hospitality industry.
Reliable with a positive attitude.
