Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of outdoor and construction-related tasks, supporting the maintenance and development of landscaping, horticultural, and construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside skilled professionals. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their practical skills within the industry.

Duties

Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and general garden care
Operating hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively
Utilising mechanical knowledge to support maintenance tasks on machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems
Supporting construction activities, including site preparation and material handling
Assisting with the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems and horticultural features
Performing general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times during operations
Supporting team members with various tasks related to gardening, landscaping, and construction projects as required

Experience

Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators is a plus
Practical understanding of construction or gardening environments will be beneficial
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina and resilience
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the landscape or construction sectors
