Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Caffe Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively café environment, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, be organised, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer queries, and provide friendly, efficient service.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system.
Ensure the café area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
Follow food safety standards and hygiene procedures diligently.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries when required.
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
Maintain a welcoming environment by engaging positively with customers and colleagues alike.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Friendly demeanour with good communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required.
