Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Motor Mechanic to join our team. First week trial to see your skill set, The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. The position requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults or issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical parts.
Diagnose mechanical problems using specialised equipment and techniques.
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling engine parts or vehicle components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies needed for repairs.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Experience with power tools relevant to vehicle repair tasks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs effectively.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
