Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and honing barista skills while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy working with people.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
Take customer orders accurately and process payments promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light bites when required
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality

Requirements

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar serving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
