Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality cleaning and laundry services within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for residents and staff alike. Experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hospital environments is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive community while developing your skills in a professional setting.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, and laundry facilities.
Manage laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen and clothing items.
Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with waste disposal and ensure all areas are kept hygienic at all times.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Support the team with additional tasks as required to uphold the organisation’s standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hospital environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting laundry baskets or cleaning equipment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the role.
