Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment, supporting both patients and the dental team. Prior office or administrative experience is desirable, along with a professional attitude and strong communication skills.

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment scheduling and cancellations
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and manage patient communications efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage correspondence via email and postal mail
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials

Experience

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanour
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar programmes
