Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with cats and dogs and at least 2 years of grooming experience. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the grooming needs of pets are met with the highest level of care and professionalism, contributing to their comfort, hygiene, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, de-matting, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and fur trimming for both cats and dogs.
Deliver breed-specific grooming services for a wide variety of dog and cat breeds, customizing cuts and grooming styles according to owner preferences and pet needs.
Ensure pets are safe, calm, and comfortable throughout the grooming process, adapting techniques for different temperaments, including nervous or aggressive animals.
Inspect pets for any signs of skin conditions, infections, or other health concerns, and promptly notify owners of any findings.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic grooming workspace, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
Use appropriate tools and grooming products suited to each pet’s coat type and condition, ensuring that equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Provide grooming consultations and educate pet owners on best practices for at-home pet care to build trusting relationships.
Manage grooming appointments efficiently, balancing quality service with productivity to meet scheduling demands.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of grooming experience with both cats and dogs.
Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques and the ability to adapt grooming styles to each pet’s needs.
Experience handling pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, with a focus on patient and compassionate care.
Excellent communication skills to effectively consult with pet owners and ensure customer satisfaction.
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of grooming quality.
Physical ability to handle pets safely, lift and carry animals, and stand for long periods.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a positive and calm demeanour in a fast-paced environment.
