About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organised Receptionist to join our busy office in Sale (M33). This key role ensures the smooth running of the office and provides a professional, welcoming experience for visitors, clients, and colleagues.

Working Hours: Full Time, Weekdays 8:45am–5:30pm (4PM finish on Fridays)
Location: Stafford Court, 145 Washway Road, Sale, M33 7PE (Office based)

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, clients, and contractors—offering a warm, professional welcome and ensuring a positive first impression of the business.
Provide general administrative support to managers and teams as required.
Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
Order and maintain office, kitchen, and stationery supplies.
Answer overflow calls during busy periods, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and directed appropriately.
Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared and presentable.
Greet and assist guests, including providing refreshments and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit.
Keep reception, meeting rooms, and communal areas tidy and professional.
Support internal meetings and office events, including room setup and refreshments.
Maintain visitor logs and internal records.
Act as Fire Marshal, following office fire safety procedures and policies.
Provide occasional support to the Office Manager, Operations, or HR teams.

Skills and Experience

At least one year Receptionist experience
Always well-presented and smart, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
Professional, reliable, and punctual.
Driver with own vehicle is essential.
Excellent customer service skills, able to handle enquiries and resolve issues politely and efficiently.
Friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors and clients.
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
Confident telephone manner, able to handle multiple calls efficiently.
Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and quick to learn new systems.
