Dental Receptionist - Office Based
Location: Central London
Salary: £13.50–£15.50 per hour + Bonus + Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Position Overview

We are seeking proactive and highly organised Dental Receptionists to join our growing practice. This role is central to delivering an outstanding patient experience while driving new patient growth and supporting practice performance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing patient enquiries, converting leads into booked appointments, optimising schedules, and supporting administrative workflows. This is an office-based role suited to someone confident on the phone, target-driven, and passionate about providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Management & Patient Conversion

Respond promptly to all incoming inquiries (phone, website, email, social media)
Follow up with prospective patients to convert inquiries into scheduled appointments
Track and manage leads using practice management or CRM systems
Re-engage unscheduled treatment patients and inactive patients
Make outbound calls to nurture leads and fill schedule gaps
Monitor conversion rates and report on booking performance
Confirm new patient appointments and reduce cancellations/no-shows
Send invoices and consent forms to patients booked
Manage online bookings

Patient Communication & Scheduling Support

Schedule and manage new patient appointments
Assist with optimizing provider schedules to maximize productivity
Prepare and send new patient paperwork and onboarding information
Communicate practice policies and expectations clearly and professionally
Maintain accurate patient records and notes

Administrative Support

Generate reports related to scheduling, cancellations, and new patient growth
Support internal office systems and workflow improvements
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with patient privacy standards
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experience

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental, medical, or customer service role preferred
Strong phone communication and persuasion skills
Comfortable making outbound calls
Organized with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with practice management or CRM software is an asset
Goal-oriented mindset with ability to track and improve performance metrics
