Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and vehicle inspections.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts and components.
Carry out engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and exhaust repairs.
Conduct vehicle safety checks and road tests when required.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and completed work.
Follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with health and safety regulations.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and equipped for efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
Relevant automotive qualification or certification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience using vehicle diagnostic tools and equipment.
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and time management skills.
A valid driver's licence is preferred.
MOT Tester certification is an advantage but not essential.

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
