We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Advertising Sales Executive to join our friendly, office-based team in Wallingford.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, speaking with business owners, and helping companies grow through effective advertising and marketing solutions. Whether you're an experienced sales professional or looking to take the next step in your sales career, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As an Advertising Sales Executive, you will be responsible for selling advertising and marketing solutions across our portfolio of magazines, website, email newsletters, social media channels, and special publications.

You will work with both existing clients and new business prospects, helping local companies raise their profile and achieve their marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

Selling advertising space across Round & About's print and digital platforms.
Developing new business opportunities through telephone sales, networking, referrals, lead generation and out on the road.
Building strong relationships with local businesses and key decision-makers.
Managing and growing an existing portfolio of advertisers.
Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets.
Preparing advertising proposals and presenting marketing opportunities to clients.
Working closely with our editorial and design teams to deliver successful advertising campaigns.
Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity.
Providing excellent customer service and account management.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A confident and professional telephone manner.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to build rapport and develop long-term business relationships.
Organised with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working towards sales targets and KPIs.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable

Previous experience in advertising sales, media sales, publishing, recruitment, property, or B2B sales.
Experience of account management and new business development.
Experience using CRM systems.
