Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex business processes, developing data-driven solutions, and supporting project management initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of analytical tools and techniques to drive strategic decision-making and optimise organisational performance. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to deliver innovative insights and ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions. A strong background in data analysis, database design, and project management is essential, alongside proficiency in key tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, and SQL.

Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications using tools like Visio and SDLC methodologies.
Develop comprehensive reports and visualisations using Tableau, Power BI, and other data analysis tools to support decision-making processes.
Design and optimise database structures in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and utilise VBA or Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automation tasks.
Conduct data analysis using R, Python, SQL, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Support project management activities including planning, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
Collaborate with IT teams to develop database designs that meet business needs while maintaining data integrity and security standards.
Assist in the development of business cases by providing detailed analysis and modelling to support strategic initiatives.
Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring best practices are followed throughout project execution.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements and expectations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a data-driven environment.
Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, SQL (including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server), VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Visio, and database design principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Experience in business analysis including process mapping and requirements gathering.
Familiarity with data visualisation techniques and reporting tools to communicate insights clearly.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
