Registered Manager – Community Services (CQC)

Location Weymouth, with regular travel across Devon and other counties

About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced individual to join Involve Care in leading and developing our CQC registered community services. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing, forward thinking organisation committed to delivering high quality, person centred care and support. The role would suit either an experienced Registered Manager or a skilled Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career progression towards becoming a Registered Manager, with strong leadership support and professional development opportunities available. Our services support individuals across the whole population, with a primary focus on children and young people up to the age of 25 who have learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Based at our Weymouth office, the successful candidate will oversee community care packages across Dorset, Devon and other counties, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate support is delivered at all times.

A pool car can be provided, or mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.

Key Responsibilities Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the service, ensuring full regulatory compliance

Lead and inspire your team to ensure the needs of the children are central to every decision and action, creating a nurturing and stable environment
Lead, manage, and develop community-based care services
Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safeguarding, and governance
Prepare for and lead on CQC inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
Support the growth and development of new care packages and services
Collaborate with external professionals, families, and carers to create a holistic support system that promotes a positive culture focused on person-centred outcomes and continuous improvement for each child
Implement Involve Care’s policies and procedures, aligning them with the company’s Statement of Purpose to maintain the highest standards of care and compliance
Develop individual care plans that focus on each child’s unique needs and strengths, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), taking a proactive role in safeguarding and ensuring every child feels protected and cared for
Manage the service budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial planning aligns with the needs of the children and the operational goals of the service
Oversee staff recruitment and development, conducting supervisions, appraisals, and training to ensure your team has the knowledge, skills, and support to excel in their roles Clinical SupportYou will be fully supported by an experienced clinical and leadership team, including: Clinical Lead Nurses attached to individual care packages
Access to a Clinical Psychologist for specialist advice and guidanceThis structure provides strong clinical oversight alongside effective operational leadership.

What We’re Looking For:
At least two years’ experience managing a CQC community service or equivalent, with a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or a willingness to work towards one

Current CQC Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress into registration
Strong knowledge of CQC compliance, safeguarding, and governance
Experience within learning disabilities, autism, mental health, or community services
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaboration with children, staff, families, and external professionals
Confident leadership and staff management skills
Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to grow and develop services
Creative thinking and a passion for enhancing the living experience for children through continuous improvement and innovation
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Full UK manual driving licence and the right to work in the UK
