Full job description

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Healthcare Assistant at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre located in Windsor? Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and be part of something extraordinary.

The Role:
As a Healthcare Assistant with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our nursing teams, consultants and diagnostic radiographers to ensure the smooth running of clinical services. You’ll contribute directly to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while building strong, professional relationships with patients and colleagues across the centre.

What You’ll Do:

Support nursing staff, consultants and radiographers in the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
Prepare clinic rooms, treatment units, specialist trolleys and equipment prior to clinics and procedures
Assist with clinical procedures and provide chaperone support when required
Monitor and accurately record patient observations, escalating concerns appropriately
Obtain blood and other samples, ensuring correct handling, storage and transportation
Maintain clean, tidy clinical environments in line with infection prevention and control policies
Support patients with mobility, dressing and comfort, acting as a patient advocate at all times
Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
Provide administrative support, including preparation of clinic lists, medical records and pharmacy assistance
Contribute positively to a professional, compassionate environment that reflects GenesisCare values
Ensure patient confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld at all times

What You’ll Have:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent QCF qualification)
Experience working in a healthcare or customer-focused environment
A caring, empathetic approach with excellent communication skills
Ability to work flexibly and remain professional under pressure
Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Willingness to undertake training (including venepuncture, if not already trained)
Awareness of patient confidentiality, data protection and the UK healthcare environment
