We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to join our Sales team based in Gateshead.

The role of Internal Account Manager:

As an Internal Account Manager you'll become the day-to-day commercial contact for a portfolio of business customers, helping them grow through outstanding service, proactive account management and developing relationships with key stakeholders. You'll work closely with our external sales team and have genuine influence over customer relationships and sales growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following key areas:

Providing high-level support to our Sales team
Managing customer accounts and building strong client relationships
Input of customer orders and ensuring accurate delivery and invoicing
Grow existing business through quoting for new and existing products
Managing customer stock levels
Interaction with key suppliers to maintain a seamless supply chain

Key Skills and Essential Experience:

Essential requirements for the role:

2 year’s experience in a B2B Customer Service role
Competent user of Microsoft Office functions
Demonstrate strong mathematics and numeracy

The successful candidate will also have the following key skills:

Be outgoing, positive and have excellent communication skills, particularly on the telephone
Be a strong and accurate administrator
Be commercially minded
Be a flexible and supportive member of the team
Manage a healthy workload and maintain focus and organisation
Be able to understand and effectively follow company process and procedure
Have a track record of customer service success and a desire to improve the customer experience
Show a desire to learn about new and existing products

What you’ll get:

A competitive salary - £28-32k (based on experience)
Bonus scheme after probation period - £32-36k OTE
Standard working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
22 days’ annual leave, increasing by one day per year (up to 25), with the option to buy/sell up to 3 days
After 6 months: Life insurance, company pension scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, Optional private healthcare scheme
Eligibility to become a shareholder in the business after 6 months
