Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will have a background in hospitality or restaurant environments, with proven experience in supervising teams and delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless dining experiences for guests
Assist in menu planning, development of new dishes, and presentation styles
Monitor quality control throughout the food preparation process to uphold high standards

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
Experience in serving guests and delivering excellent customer service is desirable
Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is essential
