Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage service, with proven leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a lively venue, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and service excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising bar staff, overseeing food and drink preparation, and ensuring smooth operational flow. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Oversee food preparation and ensure that all culinary standards are met, including cooking and food safety protocols.
Manage the organisation of food production and ensure timely delivery of orders to customers.
Assist with the preparation of beverages, including specialised cocktails and barista-style drinks.
Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to maintain inventory.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding food safety and hygiene standards.
Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive working environment.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the bar area, adhering to hygiene standards.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Experience in serving beverages, including cocktails and speciality drinks; barista experience is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Leadership qualities with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Good understanding of food production processes within a hospitality setting.
Previous hotel or restaurant experience preferred; culinary experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers alike.
