Registered Manager – New 3‑Bed EBD Children’s Home

Birmingham (B36)
£45,000 – £50,000 (Single Registration)
Up to £60,000 (Dual Registration)
+ Ofsted Registration Success Bonus

New Service Launch | Registration Phase | High‑Autonomy Leadership Role

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager, or a high‑potential Deputy Manager ready to step up, to lead the launch of a brand‑new 3‑bed EBD home in Birmingham.

This is a rare ground‑up leadership role offering:

Full ownership of a new service
Strategic influence from pre‑registration through to opening
The chance to shape culture, practice, and outcomes from day one

With the property nearing completion, the successful candidate will be central to the Ofsted registration process and named on the application, placing them at the heart of the home’s development.

What You Will Lead

As Registered Manager, you will:

Build and launch a new EBD home from inception
Work closely with senior leadership through registration and mobilisation
Define the home’s ethos, culture, and therapeutic approach
Recruit, develop, and inspire a high‑performing staff team
Drive practice and governance toward Good and Outstanding outcomes
Embed a child‑centred, trauma‑informed environment where young people can thrive

What You Bring

We are looking for leaders with credibility, ambition, and a commitment to excellence:

Experienced Registered Manager, or
Standout Deputy Manager ready for their first registration

Alongside:

Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted frameworks
Experience of (or readiness for) registration and inspection
Proven ability to lead teams, drive standards, and deliver high‑quality care
A genuine passion for improving young people’s lives

The Package

£45,000 – £50,000 for single registration
Up to £60,000 for dual registration responsibility
Ofsted Registration Success Bonus
