Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team working Monday to Thursday 10-3. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers have a positive experience. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and time management within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain hygiene standards.
Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, equipment, and seating areas throughout the shift.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals.
Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred .
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Friendly and approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
