As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to join our team.

The Role

This is a dedicated new business role focused entirely on generating new customers.

Reporting directly to the Customer Success Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective clients through proactive outbound sales activity. Your role is to create opportunities by introducing Johnson Technical to businesses that could benefit from our services.

This role does not involve managing existing customer accounts, internal sales or account management. Your sole focus will be generating qualified opportunities and building a healthy sales pipeline.

You will work closely with the Customer Success Manager throughout the sales process. Once an opportunity is qualified and ready to progress, it will move into the proposal and contracting stage, with the Sales Director supporting the commercial agreement and contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities

· Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting.

· Make high volumes of outbound calls to businesses across our target sectors.

· Build and manage prospect lists using LinkedIn, Apollo, HubSpot and other sales tools.

· Execute email outreach campaigns and follow-up sequences.

· Attend networking events, exhibitions and business events to generate new leads.

· Identify and research target organisations and key decision-makers.

· Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand a prospect's business, current IT arrangements and challenges.

· Qualify opportunities against Johnson Technical's ideal customer profile.

· Book meetings with qualified prospects.

· Maintain regular contact with prospects throughout the sales cycle.

· Keep accurate and up-to-date records within our CRM.

· Work closely with the Customer Success Manager to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.

· Ensure opportunities are fully qualified before progressing to the proposal and contract stage.

· Develop a strong understanding of Johnson Technical's products, services and value proposition.

· Consistently achieve agreed activity, pipeline and meeting targets.

What We're Looking For

Essential

· Good (1-3 years) experience in a business development, sales or outbound prospecting role.

· Experience making outbound sales calls.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers.

· Highly motivated and self-driven.

· Strong organisational and time management skills.

· Comfortable working towards KPIs and targets.

· A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

· Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

· Experience in B2B sales.

· Experience within an MSP, IT, technology or telecommunications business.

· Experience using HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar CRM/prospecting platforms.

· Experience attending networking events and generating business relationships.

· An understanding of managed IT services or cybersecurity.
