Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a refrigerated vehicle to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. The position is paid and requires a valid UK driving licence with relevant experience in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry and 3.5 tonne van, ensuring adherence to all road safety regulations.
Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise fuel efficiency.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries.
Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays.
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
Proven experience in commercial driving.
Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods safely.
Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and maintain accurate records.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
Physical job and involves manual handling
