Full job description

Position: Internal Sales - Specialized Security Products

Department: SSP

Reports to: Head of Internal Sales SSP & SAT

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Depending on experience

Location: Letchworth Garden City

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Internal Sales to join our Specialized Security Products (SSP) business. This role is responsible for supporting existing customer accounts, managing inbound enquiries and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth by maintaining strong relationships with installers, integrators and trade customers, whilst delivering excellent customer service and technical product support. By working closely with internal teams including procurement, logistics and technical support, the role will ensure customer needs are met quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day sales activity with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and account support.
Respond to inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, providing product advice, pricing and availability information.
Prepare and follow up quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
Proactively contact customers to promote products, special offers and new solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with installers, integrators and trade partners.
Support onboarding of new customer accounts and develop long-term customer relationships.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities and sales activity.
Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
Resolve customer queries relating to orders, deliveries or product selection

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales, internal sales or an account management role.
Experience working in a distribution, wholesale or product-based environment (preferred).
Strong communication skills with confidence in handling customer conversations by phone and email.
Knowledge of electronic security products (CCTV, access control, intruder or fire systems) is advantageous. Access Control product experience is preferred.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment and meet performance targets.

What we can offer you:

This is a full-time, permanent role. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
