Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to contribute significantly to our accounting processes while working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, familiarity with popular accounting software, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.

This role will be some office and hybrid working. Office located in Horsham, West Sussex.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments.
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Assist with bank reconciliations to ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting standards.
