Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, assisting with food preparation, and providing excellent customer service in a lively café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a memorable experience for our customers, maintain high standards of food safety, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards.
Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure excellent customer experience.

Skills

Proven Barista Experience: Prior experience in a specialty cafe, fast-paced coffee shop, or high-volume deli is required.
Advanced Coffee Craft & Interest: A genuine passion for coffee with hands-on experience dialing in grinders, adjusting espresso recipes, understanding yield and extraction, and executing latte art.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers effectively.
Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
