Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Cocktail Bartender/Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional service to guests, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails and beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
Provide attentive table service, including serving food and drinks, and attending to guest needs
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system
Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Engage with guests in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming environment
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender or waiter in a busy restaurant or bar environment, is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
Good basic maths skills for handling payments and bills
Proven ability to work well within a team and maintain professionalism under pressure
