General Manager – Busy City Centre Bar

Location: City Centre

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + performance bonus

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead one of the busiest bars in the city centre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As General Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the venue, leading and inspiring your team while driving sales, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring outstanding service every day.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing management and bar team.
Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, stock control, compliance and health & safety.
Drive sales, profitability and business growth through excellent operational management.
Recruit, train and develop team members.
Manage labour costs, stock margins and budgets effectively.
Ensure licensing laws and company policies are followed at all times.
Build a positive team culture with high standards and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in a busy bar, pub or late-night venue.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience managing high-volume sales and large teams.
Commercial awareness with a track record of achieving financial targets.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable customer experiences.
Personal Licence (preferred but not essential).
