Full job description

We’re looking for a proactive Transport Administrator to join our team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport department. In this role, you’ll be managing schedules, maintaining accurate records, and providing vital support to drivers and managers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving, this is your chance to make a real impact.

Shift Pattern and Hours of Work:

4 on 4 off 6pm - 6am 12-hour rotating shift pattern (weekend availability required)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Liaising with inbound and outbound drivers, internal and external customers, workshop and warehouse.
Ensure that accurate and up-to-date information and communications are passed to the driver to enable a safe and cost-effective service.
Live despatch and de-brief drivers, capturing relevant data including standard trip sheets, returns, equipment, and discrepancies – escalate where necessary
Taking calls and communicating issues.
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with Buffaload Logistics’ accident reporting procedure.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Uniform Guidelines and Health and Safety Policy.
Understanding of WTD, Tachograph legislation and EU legislation.
Management of customer portals.

Required Experience:

Ability to prioritise under pressure and work on your own initiative.
Provide excellent customer services with a proactive attitude.
Have strong communication skills.
Be a great team player.
Ability to problem solve.
Follow instructions whilst working safely.

Desirable Experience:

Previous administrative and/ or transport experience.
An understanding of Working Time Directive, Tachograph legislation, and EU legislation.
