Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Griller to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to the highest standards, ensuring quality and safety at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills in a professional environment. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests through expert grilling techniques and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to specified recipes and standards
Ensure all food is cooked safely, maintaining food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and marinating meats or vegetables prior to grilling
Maintain cleanliness of the grill station, including sanitising equipment and work surfaces regularly
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and presentation
Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and service
Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination
Assist with other kitchen duties as required, including meal preparation and serving when necessary

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience with meal preparation, especially grilling techniques, is highly desirable
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including working efficiently under pressure
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
Previous restaurant experience or culinary training is advantageous but not essential
