Assistant General Manager – The Dancing Moose, Ashley Cross

Salary: £31,400 per year
Hours: 44 hours per week
Tronc: Around £7,000 per year, based on last year’s average. This is not guaranteed and can vary depending on business levels and customer tips.

The Dancing Moose is looking for a confident, switched-on Assistant General Manager to help lead our Front of House team in Ashley Cross.

We are a fresh, fun gastro bar with great food, banging cocktails, proper coffee, good music and a big personality. The vibe is warm, lively and a little bit different - and we want someone who can help keep that energy going.

We are looking for someone who gets hospitality, loves people, and knows how to keep a shift running smoothly without killing the buzz.

You will be supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the site, helping lead the team, keeping standards high and making sure guests leave happy.

What you will be doing:

Helping run the day-to-day Front of House operation

Supporting and leading the FOH team during service

Making sure guests get friendly, professional and memorable service

Working closely with the kitchen and management team to keep service smooth

Keeping standards high across cleanliness, presentation, food hygiene and health & safety

Helping train, motivate and develop the team

Dealing with guest feedback in a calm and professional way

Supporting the General Manager with anything needed to keep the site moving

Completing any job-related training required

What we are looking for:

Previous hospitality management or supervisor experience

Someone confident, hands-on and calm under pressure

Strong people skills and a positive attitude

A natural problem solver who does not need babysitting

Someone who can lead a team without acting like a robot

Good understanding of health & safety and hygiene standards

High standards of personal presentation

A genuine love for food, drink, people and hospitality

£31,400 annual salary

44-hour working week
