Head Chef Wanted – Independent Gastro Pub

We're looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our independent gastro pub and to maintain our reputation of serving high-quality, homemade food using the best fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Everything is prepared from scratch, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for great food, creativity, and consistency.

About the Role

As our Head Chef, you'll take ownership of the kitchen, leading a small, dedicated team while maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.

Responsibilities:

Creating and developing seasonal menus using fresh local produce.
Leading, training, and motivating the kitchen team.
Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
Managing stock, ordering, and food costs.
Ensuring excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
Working closely with the GM to continue developing our food offering.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.
A genuine passion for cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
A calm, positive attitude under pressure.
Pride in producing exceptional homemade food.
Good knowledge of food safety, kitchen management, and cost control.
