We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our talented culinary team at Radstone Hotel. Reporting to the Senior Head Chef, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences across the hotel, with a particular focus on weddings, events, and busy functions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across all food outlets, weddings, events, and functions.
Work closely with the Senior Head Chef to deliver the hotel’s culinary standards and vision.
Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, taste, and service.
Manage food purchasing, stock control, food costs, GP performance, and waste effectively.
Oversee kitchen preparation and service, ensuring the team is fully organised and prepared to deliver a smooth operation.
Support recruitment, training, development, and performance management within the kitchen team.
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, allergen, cleanliness, and compliance standards are maintained.
Work closely with the wider hotel management team to support operational efficiency and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the kitchen.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or experienced Senior Sous Chef within a quality-focused hotel, restaurant, or events environment.
A passionate and creative chef with a strong focus on quality and presentation.
A confident, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire a kitchen team.
Proven experience in menu development, planning, recruitment, training, and kitchen management.
Strong knowledge of food costing, stock control, purchasing, and kitchen budgets.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
