We’re the UK’s premier home-delivery service for ready-made meals, providing delicious, nutritious and sustainable meals for people at home or in care.

Through our wide range of well-presented, nutritious meals to suit every taste and dietary need, we aim to make a real difference to lives of elderly and vulnerable people.

The Role

You will undertake working within our cold store that runs at a chilly -18ºc. Protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature is provided.

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to perform lifting, and familiarity with warehouse operations. Occasionally there may be a requirement to deliver meals.

Duties

Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling at all times.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
Accurately pick items from shelves according to order specifications, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Pack orders securely for shipment, adhering to company standards for packaging.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and improve workflow efficiency.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
Experience in picking and packing processes is beneficial.
Ability to perform lifting (up to 6 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
Knowledge of quality control procedures within a warehouse context is a plus.
Experience using shipping and receiving documentation is desirable.
