Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in food and beverage preparation while working in a welcoming setting. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive on teamwork and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers courteously and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers, with strong communication skills.
Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Friendly demeanour with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
