Full job description

We’re looking for an organised, accurate and proactive Finance Administrator to join our Finance Team at Key Group on a permanent, part-time basis.

Salary is FTE

Working 25–30 hours per week, this role offers a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied finance position with part-time hours.

You’ll support the day-to-day running of our finance function, working closely with the Finance Director, colleagues across the business, suppliers and subcontractors. The role covers a broad mix of finance administration, including invoices, payments, reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

What you'll be doing

Processing, checking and reconciling supplier invoices, statements and payments
Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
Raising sales invoices and processing payments
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Assisting with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Reviewing and processing staff expense claims
Responding to supplier queries and liaising with Project Managers and internal teams
Providing cover for weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
Supporting CIS deductions and related processes
Assisting with month-end finance activities
Providing financial information and documentation for audits and internal reviews
Handling confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately

What we're looking for

Essential:

Previous experience in an administrative role
Strong numerical and organisational skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
Confident and professional communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

Previous experience within a finance or accounting environment
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
Experience using COINS or another finance/accounting system
Knowledge of CIS or construction-related finance processes

You’ll be someone who takes pride in getting the details right. You’ll be organised, dependable and comfortable managing a varied workload, while building positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other external contacts.

This could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Finance Administrator looking for a part-time role with 25–30 hours per week, or an Administrator with strong numerical skills looking to develop further within finance.
