Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House/Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in hospitality and food service, ensuring a welcoming experience for all customers. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards
Assist with food preparation, including assembling light snacks or baked goods as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including counters, tables, and display cases
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and process payments efficiently
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritising customer needs while maintaining quality standards

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
Basic food preparation skills for assembling simple menu items
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent time management to ensure prompt service and minimise wait times
Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills and a professional attitude
