Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy distribution team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and unload incoming deliveries, checking quantities and reporting any discrepancies.
Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with company procedures and deadlines.
Prepare orders for dispatch and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
Store stock in designated warehouse locations and maintain an organised working environment.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Report damaged goods, stock issues, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Support colleagues and undertake additional warehouse duties as required to meet business needs.

Skills and ExperienceEssential

Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties.

Pay: From £12.89 per hour
